Rediscovering my Brand Activity and Embracing the Principle of 'Do Something'
Hey, friend, welcome back to my weekly newsletter after quite a long; I hope you are doing well. We all need some kind of motivation to start something or to continue something after or before...
Today I am sharing my brand activity which I also resumed after some time, and also one of the principles called "Do Something" from my previously read book name "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson.
My Brand
I started BilalTheDev last year; I write some blogs, also share some learning posts on my Instagram, and also started a Youtube channel where I share some videos about HTML and CSS. Recently I have resumed my posting activities on Instagram (Html5, CSS3, and JS completed already, Python is in-progress) and also start to produce and edit some content for my youtube channel and blog website (in progress).
Do Something
Producing content is not a big deal in today's world because we have lots of resources to use, but the "Do something" principle was missing in my work ethic for BilalThedev. This is the most simple and easy-to-implement principle in our daily or professional life.
Do Something = Action → Inspiration → Motivation
Action lead to some inspiration, and inspiration leads to motivation; that's all the funda behind most of the content creators at the current time. I am a big fan of Ali Abdaal, a famous YouTuber. I don't remember the exact video, but it was about the 5-minute rule. If we need to motivate ourselves for something, do it for 5 minutes then we instantly sink into the ocean of motivation related to any task. This also ensures the action first for motivation to do something.
I constantly apply this to read books for myself, I was not a book reader before Dec 2021. But when I apply this simple rule to reading a book it helps me a lot and now by reading more books, I also know the "Do Something" principle to accelerate my tasks by taking action immediately rather than waiting for some illusionary motivation.
Fun Fact: I have a daily reminder in my mobile calendar to read at least 1 page, which takes 5 minutes to read maximum😀.
That's it from my side. Please give me constructive feedback for more improvement in my current content, signing off...
